Social dining is back!

We’re back at Lockleaze Sports Centre for a social dining event every Monday evening. Join us again or for the first time for our pay-as-you-feel community dining club.

Our next dining club is 6pm on 20th of September at Lockleaze Sports Centre. Take a look at the menu below and book a place here.

National Food Service Bristol is the Bristol branch of the NFS Network. We’re building the National Food Service from the ground up.

We want to create opportunities for friends and neighbors to cook and eat together. We support groups that provide free and low cost food to anyone who needs it.

The first lockdown saw thousands of people come together to make sure no one went hungry. The National Food Service Bristol are proud to have been a part of those efforts. Unfortunately, we are unable to run another emergency food delivery project this lockdown.

Instead, we are working with other organisations who are running projects, including the Bristol Food Union, Coexist Community Kitchen, Henbry and Brentry Community Council, Baraka Community Café, and the Marmalade Trust. We encourage anyone who volunteered with us over our emergency food delivery project to get in touch with these fantastic organisations to help them provide food to the community this lockdown. These groups particularly need volunteer drivers!

In the meantime, we do have other projects in the pipeline. If you want to stay in touch you can subscribe to our newsletter below.

Covid-19 Emergency Food Provision Testimonials

National Food Service have been a massive help to Creative Youth Network staff and service users. During Covid-19 young people have been reporting a shortage in food supplies and due to self-isolating, not being able to access shops and food banks. We have also found that many of our service users are unable to continue in existing work and find new ways of working which has resulted in a lack of finances to spend on food shops. National Food Service have been incredibly responsive and provided our service users with weeks’ worth of nutritious meals and veg boxes. Another huge benefit of NFS is the fact that they don’t only provide food for certain age ranges and circumstances but provide food for everyone of all ages and situations. There really was no other option for some of our service users so NFS has really been a life saver during this difficult and uncertain time

The initiative is a great one, response is so quick, vulnerable people’s needs are being met.

Absolutely amazing! The deliveries have been life-saving. Without the service we’d have literally been starving.

Absolutely brilliant service.

Rob and Jackie

This is a life-saver. It means I don’t have to take the kids to the shops and put them in danger, as one of them has additional needs.

Service is outstanding, makes us feel like we are all in this together, food is great and the people delivering the food are so lovely – thank you

Denise ordered fresh meals for her son which she delivers along with Veg box for her and her family to share.

Amazing service, if I was able I would volunteer to drive for you.

The food is smashing.

Lisa would like to donate when they are able to again and she told us not to worry about the dogs.
